Berdan's 1st U.S. Sharpshooters is a member unit of the North-South Skirmish Association.  We have dedicated our participation in the N-SSA to the memory of the original sharpshooters.  We are a competition team that shoots many types of weapons used in the Civil War.  The important thing to remember is that we are a team.  True there is individual competition on paper targets for score but that is secondary to our function as a team competing against every other unit in the N-SSA.
